Gwen Is Not a Man

Gwen Stefani is not a man and apparently needs a lawsuit to maintain that fact! The no doubt lead singer has filed a lawsuit against Activision, the manufacturer of Band Hero, for manipulating her likeness into having a male voice and saying ungwen like things!
We have seen this previously from more often than not crazy person Courtney love, but Gwen entering the lawsuit picture kind of brings somewhat credibility to the lawsuits (maybe).
If you have not played Band Hero or Guitar Hero and Rock Band or any other button punching fake guitar playing game, then you may not understand what is going on here, but let me try to explain. So it goes like this, you have a fake guitar and you push buttons that are displayed on the screen. While doing this on the TV will be the original artist signing the song in animated form. All in all that sounds fine, so what the problem you ask? Well if you do certain things you enter a mode where as you can have other artists sing other artist songs. Like say Gwen Stefani signing the Rolling Stones, hence the lawsuit where she claims she can’t sing a man’s song!
Okay enough of the background here is the deal from Activations’ point of view No Doubt (Gwen’s Band) there was an agreement in place for Activision to use their likeness. No Doubt lawsuit alleges that Activision “Transformed No Doubt band members into a virtual karaoke circus act” by having them “sing dance and perform over sixty songs.” The band is particularly pissed that Gwen Stefani’s animated image can channel a male voice to sing “Honky Tonk Woman” by the Rolling Stones … a song which contains lyrics about “having sex with prostitutes.”

After reading various gamers comments from various forums and websites, I have come to the conclusion you are really a Guitar Hero/Band Hero/Rock Band douche if you enjoy having No Doubt or Kurt Cobain singing other artist songs. There is absolutely no need for this, the reason we have listen to these artist is for their songs not the way they sing other peoples. I really enjoy everyone saying it’s just a game and the artist should not care. Really, so when you run out of Music to play on you button mashing game then what will you do, I imagine you won’t learn how to play you own song. Because that’s what will eventually happened as artist get tired of getting dicked around by Activision and other manufacturers, they will demand more money or not even be in the game at all.

So for all the people out there not supporting Gwen you should change your attitude, I for one think is not so bad having the artist only sing their songs in the game. Why would I want Gwen singing like a man? She is Hot!
