Remembering Michael Jacksons Moonwalker Sega Game!

moonwalkerUnfortunately Michael Jackson has left the world for which he brought joy to many people, his singing and his dancing was legendary.   Michael Jackson also carved a small niche in the video game  world. If you played any Sega games when were a kid you had to have played Moonwalker! The real appeal came from hearing Jackson shout “Woo!” with each attack–usually a dance-like high kick that causes tiny stars to shoot from his foot. The side scrolling action game was a tribute to not only his music but combination of his dance moves, cat like fighting ability.  The basic premise of the game was saving some kids from a boss named Mr. Big, much like all games of this era the moves were repetitive and not extremely hard by any means, but if you have a Sega Genesis still go ahead and pull out Moonwalker today in tribute of Michael Jackson! W00!

Michael Jackson was also rumored to be working on a new game for the Wii and PS3, I could only hope it would be a dancing and signing game in the Rock Band, DDR genre style of games.

Enjoy the Video….WOO!

I actually do remember playing this game! Not a game that I would have kept in my library, but it can definitely be a collectors item for someone for sure!
