Tetris turns 25: Future Olympic sport?
More than 125 million Tetris products have been sold, and the Guinness World Records 2009 Gamer’s Edition book ranked Tetris No. 2 on its list of the top 50 console games of all time, behind Super Mario Kart. Cnn.com interviewed the Tretis creators who are celebrating the 25th year of tetris. Tetris has always been the one of the most addicting games of all time. We have seen many games come along and copy the concept. I think my favorite was the N64 version with all the four player action, I really would like to see a online version similar to this but with thousands of players all playing at the same time. It takes a lot of skill to plan ahead and see the blocks that are upcoming and form the right lines.
As for the Olympic sport of it well maybe not something we will see happen but lets just try to the MLG to open up more games and create a larger mainstream audience first….Anyone care to share their favorite Tetris stories?
