Target Launching Game reservation Program!

targetwiicard-largeTarget this week launched a new program in which consumers can reserve popular video game titles in advance. The program allows customers to purchase a collectible reservation card in-store for $1, but then receive a $5 Target Gift Card when they pick up their game.  The program is being launched in conjunction with the release of such titles as “Punch Out!!,” “EA Sports Active” and “Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings.” I for one was beginning to think the whole reserving of games was becoming a antiquated thing, we had to stop reserving movies a long time ago. The only real thing that makes this worthwhile is the $5 gift card, I am getting all the games they are pumping up with this promo, so why not get the free gift card.  Best Buy, and other big box retailers have been doing this for a while so I was kind of surprised to hear that Target has not been doing this. I for one have never went to Target to buy a game, its third or fourth on the list I would go to look specifically for a new game release.

If you are thinking of getting any of these games and not trading anything in then why get them from GameStop when you can get a $5 gift card, it just makes sense. Is anyone else going to check this out!
